Privacy Policy — Minimal Music

Effective date: 29 June 2026
App: Minimal Music (com.minimalmusic.app)

This policy explains what the Minimal Music app ("the app", "we") does with your information. The app is local-first: it plays music stored on your own device and runs no server of ours.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not collect your music files, library, or playlists onto any server.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display ads to users who have not bought the ad-free upgrade. AdMob may collect and process data such as your advertising identifier, device information, and approximate usage/diagnostic data to serve and measure ads. See Google's privacy policy and AdMob's data disclosure. Buying the ad-free upgrade stops AdMob from serving ads.

Premium & purchases

The ad-free upgrade is processed by Google Play Billing; we never receive your payment-card details. RevenueCat and Google Play process an anonymous purchase identifier to validate and restore your entitlement across reinstalls. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Data retention

Local data (library index, playlists, favorites, settings, ad-free status) remains until you delete it or uninstall the app. We hold no copy of it. See Data deletion below.

Data deletion

Minimal Music has no user accounts and does not upload your data to our servers, so you are always in control of deleting it.

  1. Delete everything (immediate): uninstall the app, or open Settings → Apps → Minimal Music → Storage & cache → Clear storage. This permanently removes your playlists, favorites, theme/playback settings, and any redeemed unlock code from the device. Your actual music files are your own and are not touched.
  2. Delete specific items in-app: tap a favorite's heart again to remove it, delete a playlist from the Playlists screen, or revoke the app's audio access in Settings → Apps → Minimal Music → Permissions.
  3. Reset advertising data: open Settings → Privacy → Ads and choose Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
  4. Request deletion from us: email skubik.company@gmail.com with the subject "Minimal Music data deletion", including your purchase order ID if you bought the upgrade. We respond within 30 days.

What is deleted: all locally stored data (library index, playlists, favorites, settings, ad-free state) is removed as soon as you clear app storage or uninstall. We hold nothing of yours on a server to delete.

What is kept: we do not collect your music files, library, or playlists, so there is nothing of that kind on our side. In-app purchase/transaction records are held by Google Play in your Google account; we may retain minimal transaction records only where required for legal, tax, or accounting purposes, and only for the period required by law.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
